Holidays in the Costa Almeria – Information
The Costa Almeria has something for everybody, whether it is a slow evening
stroll through one of the many unspoilt fishing villages dotted along the
coast or a relaxing day at the 2 km expanse of sand that is San Miguel de
Levante beach. You can visit Europe’s only desert region which surrounds
the village of Tabernas. The whole Costa has a distinctly African feel as
it was taken by the Moors over one thousand years ago.
The city of Almeria itself has many picturesque plazas and as it is one
of the oldest cities in Europe it has many sights of historical interest.
Despite this most people tend to holiday in the nearby towns as they have
a more built up resort-style feel.
