I have been to Turkey a few times and have covered most of the main resorts. Bodrum was a pretty resort and very lively, lot's going on in the day and buzzing at night. I have also stayed in Gumbet and found this resort to be very lively, so if you are looking for a party holiday this is the place. Marmaris is another great destination if you are looking for nightlife, it is a large resort with plenty of bars and restaurants and has a marina and an old town with plenty of bazaars for shopping. If you want something a little more relaxed then I would recommend Icmeler. Icmeler is still lively but not as much as its neighbour Marmaris and has a nice beach to relax on and plenty of bars and restaurants. I would also recommend Icmeler if you are taking pushchairs or wheelchairs as the resort is quite flat unlike some of the other resorts in Turkey. The last place I visited in Turkey is Olu Deniz. If you can only visit one place in Turkey then this is where I would visit as you will not be disappointed. The beautiful blue lagoon and beach is lovely and the shops, bars and restaurants are all amazing. Olu Deniz is fairly relaxed but you can get to Hisaronu by Dolmus in about 10 minutes if you fancy a livelier night out. The food in Turkey is reasonably priced and tasty and my favourite taste was the borek a pastry filled with cheese (yummy). I went on a lovely trip whilst I was in Turkey taking a boat trip up the Dalyan Delta which included a Turkish mud bath followed by a trip to Iztuzu beach. I will definitely return to Turkey and especially the resort of Olu Deniz.
