Where is Samos Situated?
Samos, one of the thousands of Greek islands, is the easternmost island in the Aegean Sea. When package holidays became popular in the 1980s, Samos was one of the first to embrace it. The island is a 180 square mile (470 sq km) paradise of fantastic beaches, traditional cultures and specially-designed tourist attractions, each contributing amazing memories to all holidays.

Travelling to Samos
Samos is one of the handful of Greek Isles which has it's own international airport. Flights to Samos are common enough for travelling to be considered easy, however Samos recieves less flights than most of the other large islands. Plenty of the flights from the UK to Samos are direct and the journey from London is only 800 miles (1280 km) which takes little more than 2 hours for the average jumbo jet, making it a short-haul flight.
Scratching the Surface of Samos' past
Aside from the natural beauty and splendour, Samos is also home to some man-made brilliance. Amazing architecture is scattered across the island, often concentrated in the towns. Surrounding the aesthetic structures are the peach coloured residencies, adapted to suit the wonderful Aegean climate. One outstanding famous figure born on the island is the mathematician Pythagoras; he was born on Samos in the 6th century BC.
