Introduction

Gozo is often considered just to be Malta's little sister. Visitors who intend to use their walking boots will find the island to be a hiking haven, though with very gentle terrain. This a three hour flight which completes the first leg of the journey. For passengers intending to continue on to Gozo, travellers must get either a ferry or a seaplane from Malta. Ferries go very frequently and only take 20 minutes so transfers to the island are easy, even for those not on package holidays.

Gozo - History & Culture

Scattered across the lush countryside are some quaint old stone farmhouses and baroque churches, along with a few prehistoric temples and other sites of historic importance. Victoria is the island's capital and the centre for commerce but it still preserved it's 17th century charms. A lot of the island's culture and history can be explored in the city, mainly inside the fortified Citadel which houses the ancient part of the town.
