There are no trains in Agadir so the easiest way to get a connection to your hotel is either by bus or taxi, both of which are quick and cost effective.
Agadir's rebuilt history
The city is modern because of it's rebuilding after an earth quake in 1961 that erased most of it's historic heritage as an important seaport and centre for caravans traversing the Sahara. Sad as this was, it does have an upside, the town has been rebuilt with the modern holiday in mind, it has been modelled as a tourist destination, particularly popular with package holidaymakers. This popular destination has quickly bridged the gap between Europe and Africa, slowly introducing wary tourist to the mysteries and intrigue of the beautiful country of
Morocco.
