Paris – This iconic city is very much synonymous with love and romance. Choose to stay in one of the city’s many luxurious boutique hotels, stroll the city streets arm-in-arm and watch the world go by from pretty pavement cafes. The city has so many attractions to choose from, but quality time together on a romantic break away is key! Dubrovnik – Set on a rocky inlet on Croatia’s Adriatic south coast, Dubrovnik is a picturesque city encompassed by impressive stone walls. Edinburgh - Scotland’s historic capital city bursts with character, sophistication and historic charm. Easily accessible by air, road and rail, Edinburgh is a fantastic choice for a romantic break away at any time of the year. Exploring on foot is highly recommended, so be sure to take a good pair of sturdy shoes for walks around the cobbled streets. Take in the breathtaking panoramic views of the city from the summit of Sir Walter Scott monument - this gothic spire is located in the centre of the city and is well worth the 287 step climb to the top for a birds-eye view to get your bearings. Amsterdam – This fun-filled, laidback city offers wonderful old-world charm, cobbled streets and endless galleries, museums and renowned attractions including the Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank Huis and Van Gogh Museum to name just a few! Frequent connections from London to Amsterdam by air and train are available. Cycling within the city is extremely popular and is a great way to explore the sights, sounds and attraction highlights, woven between the multitude of canals and bridges.

Quebec City – If you’re looking to travel further afield, the charming city of Quebec in Canada offers an idyllic setting for a wonderfully romantic break.  Quebec City is situated on the banks of the beautiful Saint Lawrence River and offers sophisticated Parisian flare. Things to consider

1)      Have various proposal ideas in mind rather than just one, so in the event of the setting/timings/etc. not being quite right, you will have an alternative plan!

2)      Make sure you have adequate travel insurance to cover the cost of the engagement ring or consider taking a token ring instead of the real thing.
