Dalyan Holidays – A haven of tranquility
Unlike other popular resorts on the Turkish Mediterranean Coast, such as Icmeler, this tranquil resort is particularly less developed. It offers amongst its accommodation and basic town facilities a great deal of natural and historic attractions for those on their Dalyan holidays to take advantage of. This town is still very much Turkish, there is not the common element of 'Britain with sun' that can plague other resorts in the high season. The language is still predominantly Turkish with people speaking some English in tourist facilities and shops, along with the standard Turkish friendliness and hospitality.

The majority of the accommodation and facilities for those on their last minute Dalyan holidays are located on the coastal side of the winding Dalyan river which runs between the Med and Lake Koycegiz. This is when traditional Turkish food is served along with belly dancing and music. A good day out is the popular boat trip along the river to the 2,300 Lycian cliff tombs and the ancient city of Caunos, this trip is fascinating and informative, and also a very good way to enjoy the sun for those that can't lie still long enough to catch a tan on their holidays in Dalyan! Popular days out for those that enjoy a touch of pampering and luxury on their Dalyan holidays are the thermal springs at Sultaniye, or for an especially unusual experience the Dalyan Mud Baths that are said to rejuvenate and take years off your skin!

One thing that the majority of daytrips and activities in and around Dalyan have in common is the link with nature. Much of the interest around this area is to do with nature or stems from it. The wetlands that surround the resort are a haven for birds and wildlife, whilst the backdrop of pine covered mountains and lush fields which nestle at the back of the resort are simply a delight for the eye of the traveller to behold. Similarly to Calis holiday resort, the beach at turtle beach is protected because of the rare breeds of turtles that nest here. This beach makes a wonderful day out for nature loving holiday makers and for those that simply enjoy scenery, to see the rare sights of the turtles nesting. It has to be said that this resort would not be ideal for those looking for wild clubbing when on their package holidays but for the discerning traveller that is looking for a tranquil holiday with plenty of wonderfully traditional sights, sounds and smells to savour then cheap all inclusive holidays in Dalyan are simply perfect.
